#FridayReads 16.8.2013

Posted on Friday, August 16, 2013

Hi! I'm sorry for the lack of content the past two weeks, and I don't really have an explanation for last week, but this week I've been busy doing GISHWHES or The Greatest International Scavenger Hunt The World Has Ever Seen and it's been a lot of fun! I haven't read much this week, but I'll try to read a bit this weekend, and I'm planning on continuing with A Storm of Swords part 2 by George R. R. Martin.

I've already read 145 pages of it, so I'm hoping to read about 100 pages more this weekend. I start school next week, so I probably won't read a lot the next few weeks! fml.

This weekend I'm probably only going to read Beauty Queens by Libba Bray. I'm already 160 pages/40% into it, and oh my god, it's so hilarious! I probably won't read much though, at least not today or tomorrow. I'll hopefully finish it by the end of the weekend, but I'm not really in the mood for reading at the moment!

If I finish Beauty Queens, which I doubt, I'll pick up and finish Clockwork Angel since I only have about 100 pages left. It's definitely much better than City of Bones!

This weekend I'm going to be starting The Enemy by Charlie Higson, which sounds really awesome and action-packed! The book is set in London after all the grown ups have been turned into zombies(?) and the remaining kids try to survive. It's been on my shelf for a while, and I'm in the mood for something fast paced, so I'm hoping to fall in love with it!

I'm not sure if I'm going to finish it this weekend, though. The day is almost over, and tomorrow is my birthday, so I'll be busy almost the entire day! On sunday I'm celebrating with my friends, so I probably won't have the time to read until I go to bed, and whenever I try to read in bed, I just end up falling asleep. Oh well, I'm hoping to read at least 100 pages today and finish the book next week!

As always, tell me what you're reading down below!

This has been a pretty bad reading week for me, but I'm hoping to fix that this weekend. I started Scarlet by Marissa Meyer, and I'm more than halfway through it, so I think I'll finish it today.
Scarlet is the second book in the Lunar Chronicles, and I don't really like doing reviews of sequels if I don't have a review of the first book, but I think I might review this anyway!

When I finish Scarlet I think I'm going to pick up An Abundance of Katherines. I didn't finish A Clash of Kings last weekend like I was hoping, but I might pick it up this weekend as well! I'm hoping to finish as many books as possible in the near future, because I'm a little behind on my reading challenge.

This weekend I'm going to continue with, and hopefully finish A Clash of Kings by George R. R. Martin. It's the second book in the A Song of Ice and Fire series and I'm currently at page 673 of 913 (including the information about the houses in the last pages) I don't think it's impossible to finish it in two or three days, and I'm really looking forwards to finishing it!

If I finish A Clash of Kings this weekend, I'm either going to pick up the next book right away, which is A Storm of Swords, or pick up something lighter, like An Abundance of Katherines by John Green.

This weekend I will be continuing with Light by Michael Grant, and probably finish it. I was really happy when I received it in the mail but my motivation for reading has been non existant since getting sick. I'm well now though, and I'll definitely sit down and read some more before I go to bed tonight!
My goal is to finish Light tonight so I can feel a bit better about finishing three boks in May instead of two.

After reading Light I'm either going to continue reading Pandemonium by Lauren Oliver(I only have about 100 pages left, but I'm not loving it) or A Clash of Kings by George R. R. Martin which is really good but a bit difficult to read.
